Tribeca Preparatory offers Speech Therapy, PROMPT, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, and has a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on staff.  All of these services are provided on site for individual sessions and push in sessions in the classroom.

Behavior Analyst

Our on staff Behavior Analyst (BCBA-LBA) provides individual and or “push in” classroom support to help students learn specific skills and generalize them across differning school environments. Our BCBA is a valued member of our educational team in collaborating on behavior plans and providing ongoing professional staff development.

Speech Therapy

All of our Speech Pathologists are New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLP) who are also certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and trained in PROMPT. In addition, we have a full time PROMPT certified clinician on staff. Speech sessions are provided individually, through dyads or “push-in” classroom sessions. Our speech therapy treatment modality focuses on the quality of speech and language development geared towards helping our students become independent communicators in all environments.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). Occupational Therapy sessions are provided individually, through dyads in our on-site sensory gym or “push-in” classroom sessions. Our occupational therapists are important members of our collaborative educational team and aid in formulating effective strategies to improve our student’s classroom performance such as sensory diets, adaptive equipment (seat cushions, slant boards, etc.)


Counseling sessions are provided by a licensed PhD. Psychologist. The sessions assist our students in developing social and emotional strategies to help them succeed in diverse social settings. They collaborate closely with the educational team, therapists and their families to develop strategies for challenging behaviors. Counseling sessions are conducted individually, through dyads or “push in” classroom sessions.
