Kimberly Mosca, Ph.D, BCBA-D, NYS LBA, SDL

Head of School

Dr. Kimberly Mosca has worked as an experienced school leader, special education administrator and a Behavior Analyst with a history of working in the public school and private school setting as well as in homes with families. She is skilled in the areas of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), curriculum development, professional development, and parent training. Prior to becoming Head of School at Tribeca Preparatory, Dr. Mosca worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), other developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and students with emotional disabilities. As a school and district leader,

Dr. Mosca supervised and worked with special educators, general educators, as well as clincians and related service providers. Dr. Mosca is well versed in special education law and has served as a chairperson for Committee on Special Education meetings. Most recently, she has consulted in school districts to lead the development of special education programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays. She also works with individuals providing direct services for ABA in their homes and community. Dr. Mosca’s educational and leadership background include a team approach to educating each student. She strongly believes that each person on the student’s team is an integral part of the success of the student. In addition, she believes that it is important to help children develop in areas of both their strengths and areas of need while also helping them to discover new things that spark their interest.

In addition to Dr. Mosca’s professional experience, she holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil in Behavior Analysis and Behavioral Disorders from Columbia University, Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, M.A. in Curriculum and Teaching with a specialization in Teaching as ABA from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an Advanced Certificate in School Building and District Leadership from the College of Saint Rose. Dr. Mosca is a certified special education and general education teacher and school administrator in New York. In addition Dr. Mosca is a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in NYS and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D).

Dr. Mosca is a proud mother of three children who have inspired her to be a better person and educator each and every day. Dr. Mosca enjoys traveling with her husband and children to visit family in Oregon, North Carolina and Sweden. She enjoys watching her children play sports, being outdoors, being active, reading and exploring NYC. She is passionate about helping students, families and educators learn about all that is available to always help them grow.
